Ocean Outdoor Limited (LSE: OOUT), a leading operator of premium Digital Out-of-Home (“DOOH”), is bringing together its three Dutch subsidiaries to form Ocean Netherlands. The new entity becomes the biggest DOOH operator in Holland.
The combination of Interbest, Ngage Media and Beyond Outdoor as Ocean Netherlands creates a new national network of 285 large format screens in 168 key locations with a daily reach of more than 20 million people.
Ocean Netherlands will establish a new headquarters in Amsterdam in January 2020 under co-managing directors Xavier Tilman, Meindert van den Heuvel, Stan Thijssen and Erwin Versluijs.
The company will invest in the latest DOOH technology and research capabilities, augmenting its position as an operator of high quality DOOH assets which are fully aligned with the wider Group portfolio.
A new marketing strategy will draw on Ocean Outdoor’s brand proposition, including the launch of Ocean’s established annual digital creative competition for agencies and brands in the Netherlands in the spring of 2020.
Xavier Tilman, Ocean Netherlands co-managing director, said: “The start of Ocean Netherlands is in many respects a new chapter in DOOH. With a national network, a fantastic team and lots of energy, we are looking forward to realising our ambitions together with advertisers and agencies.”
Ocean Group chief marketing officer, Richard Malton, said: “The repositioning of our Dutch subsidiaries as Ocean Netherlands creates a seamless, connected DOOH network for brands and advertisers looking to reach audiences in some of the most progressive digital cities and roadside locations across the UK and the Netherlands.”
