This year we are proud to support and highlight Mental Health Awareness Day (Oct 10th) as part of our ongoing EDI strategy. We hope that the messages on our screens will actively continue to raise awareness to the ongoing mental health challenge in the UK.
In London, registered charity Take a Moment ran their powerful mental health campaign on Piccadilly Lights, featuring some of Britain’s most recognisable faces including Helena Bonham Carter and Liam Gallagher.
The campaign, which served as a reminder that we all need to pause, breathe and take a moment was shared and amplified far and wide on social media with the hashtag #TakeAMoment. The screen space was donated by Landsec.

In Scotland, we collaborated with Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH) on their newest mental health campaign. Across 12 weeks, 11 of our large format Digital Out of Home screens in Glasgow will support the opening of Scotland’s first ever network of walk-in mental health support hubs, The Nook.
Designed to tackle the long waits for mental health treatment, the centre will open on October 23rd in Glasgow.

The number of people who have reported a mental health problem has doubled over the past 10 years, and more than 50,000 people were admitted to hospital with mental health related problems in 2023/24. The Nook is the charity’s response to this national crisis. (SAMH 2025).
Debbie Ferguson, Ocean Outdoor account director, said: “Many of us know someone who is struggling with their mental health. Hopefully this campaign will raise awareness about the availability of immediate support and contribute to SAMH’s wider goals around such an important national matter.”
Focusing on this year’s theme of overwhelm, we invited staff members to step away from their desk and come together for a mental health break, where they could enjoy freshly made green smoothies and a variety of healthy snacks.
Later in the month, staff will also get to the chance to participate in a relaxing yoga session hosted by our head of Ocean Labs. A chance for employees to unwind, reset and challenge themselves to something new.
