The partnership between Ocean Outdoor and Vin + Omi continues during London Fashion Week when limited edition garments made from upcycled advertising vinyl will feature in the designers’ AW20 collection.

Highlights from RESIST! The award-winning designers’ show, which is held at The Savoy on Friday, February 14, will feature on 38 Ocean digital out of home (DOOH) screens in eight UK cities, reaching more than 6.5 million people.

Clips from the catwalk will be broadcast in London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Glasgow, Leeds and Newcastle between February 18 and February 23.

For the SS20 show last September, Team GB athletes carried a range of contemporary bags made entirely from used vinyl panels taken from Ocean’s advertising displays.  The AW20 collection extends the range from accessories to garments.

RESIST continues the eco-studio’s project with HRH Prince Charles and Highgrove together with upcycled projects featuring Olympic and world champion sailor Hannah Mills and British fencer James Honeybone and creative collaborations with Mr. Start and art and design students at Oxford Brookes University.

Vin+Omi said “We believe that Ocean Outdoor’s approach to digital advertising is responsible and our ongoing partnership highlights how digital advertising is another way forward for a healthier environment. We share the same passion for a more sustainable approach to both business and the environment”

Vin + Omi is the world’s only 100 percent zero-waste concept label to produce textiles which are all directly associated with social and environmental impact projects.

Ocean’s long term partnership with Vin + Omi is part of its Ocean for Oceans sustainable initiative. Repurposed vinyl ads are being turned into a limited edition retail line to support marine conservation work.

London Fashion Week takes place from February 14 to February 18 2020.
