Ocean stands up for Mental Health Awareness Day

This year, Ocean is proud to support and highlight Mental Health Awareness Day, both internally and across screens as part of a wider EDI strategy.

In one of the heaviest footfall areas in London, Piccadilly Lights showcased a 15 minute domination of black and white photos as part of the Take a Moment mental health campaign. Members of the public were encouraged to take their own photo, before sharing online with the hashtag #takeamoment24.

The campaign, which featured the faces of television personalities like Matt and Emma Willis and Alison Hammond, was a poignant reminder that we need stop and take a moment.

Ocean Outdoor UK CEO Phil Hall said “I hope this powerful display encourages Londoners to pause and find a moment as they pass through one of the city’s busiest and most famous locations.”

Meanwhile, focusing on this year’s theme of workplace mental health and wellbeing, we were delighted to host Hospital Rooms at our Ocean London office for the second year running. Hospital Rooms partner with artists, users, and healthcare units to enhance mental health hospitals through creative endeavours.

The charity based organisation led a creative workshop where staff enjoyed marble water painting sessions, alongside our Ocean smoothie bar that supported a positive link between mental health and gut health.
