Ocean has extended its Northern presence with the launch of The Monument which is located in the heart of Newcastle’s shopping district.
The Monument, Newcastle is the city’s first external full-motion digital screen in a retail hub, reaching an audience of more than 1.165 million commuters, visitors and shoppers a fortnight.
The Wi-Fi enabled screen is situated at the main entrance to the intu Eldon Square shopping centre, overlooking Grey’s monument and adjacent to Monument Metro station.
Ocean marketing director Richard Malton said: “The Monument is located in the most affluent retail area of Newcastle, giving brands access to a high footfall of shoppers and commuters. It’s a unique screen, with integrated facial recognition and high-speed wifi technology, allowing brands to connect directly with the public.
This is Ocean’s second digital out of home screen in Newcastle who also operates The Screen on the Tyne on the approach to the Tyne Bridge.
