Ocean Outdoor is expanding its Digital Out of Home (DOOH) portfolio in Manchester, rolling out new premium formats across Allied London’s city centre financial, residential and leisure quarter.
The latest addition is a large format corner screen located in the Manchester Spinningfields commercial and retail district, configured to accommodate Ocean’s 3D DeepScreen® technology as well as standard full motion.
Measuring 12.8 metres wide x 3.6 metres high, the screen complements The Loop small format network, a 300 square meter banner, six murals, and mixed use experiential spaces, boosting footfall and dwell time via brand activations and global events such as fan zones.
Earlier this summer, Ocean also expanded its Loop network to neighbouring St John’s with a further five double sided full motion Digital 6 sheets, bringing the total number to 24 screens across both destinations.
Spinningfields attracts 5.5 million visitors annually with a combined annual spend of £65 million. St John’s combines residential and enterprise spaces with arts and cultural venues, reinforcing Manchester as an international beacon for the tech, media and creative industries.
Ocean Outdoor UK director of development Tom Ballantine said: “Our new formats form part of a long term investment programme, offering brands an exceptional opportunity to connect with residents, visitors, shoppers and professionals across Allied London’s Manchester estate.”
Elizabeth Peckett, head of asset management at Allied London, said: “The combination of emerging creative formats with the latest DOOH technology gives our tenants and Ocean’s brand partners a first class media platform to elevate the audience experience.”
Ocean was appointed exclusive media partner for Spinningfields and St John’s in 2023, making it the number one provider of premium full motion DOOH in Manchester. Ocean also operates the city’s largest premium DOOH public authority contract on behalf of Manchester City Council, and Printworks Manchester, home to Europe’s biggest digital ceiling.
