Manchester is alive with music, culture and creativity.

This summer, we have teamed up with Music for the Senses, a brand new public art trail that is taking over the city. An ode to Manchester’s rich music scene, the trail features 48 guitar artworks, 9 musician-donated guitars and 2 show-stopping installations.

Created in collaboration with Manchester City Council, the trail will run until 31 August, and is encouraging people of all ages to go outside and find guitars across the city, collecting rewards as they go. Anyone taking part via the Music for the Senses app can spot our guitar, and enter a competition to win 2 x Co-op live tickets.

Designed by local artist, Justin Eagleton, our sponsored guitar features a painted silhouette of New Order and Joy Division bassist, Peter Hook. To mark its launch on Deansgate street, we celebrated with a special signing moment with the musician himself, and some of our Manchester team.

At the end of the trail the decorated guitars will be auctioned to raise money to support grassroots music projects and venues throughout Greater Manchester.
