Euro 2028 countdown launched with co-ordinated domination across Ocean Outdoor screens

London, UK: The official launch of Euro 2028, to be hosted by the UK and Ireland, was marked with a sensational takeover of London’s Piccadilly Lights and The Venue at 20:28pm on Wednesday, 12th November.

City takeovers, a co-ordinated domination including more than 150 Ocean Outdoor digital screens in four of the Euro 2028 host cities – Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham –, were executed in partnership with the Local Authorities. This element of the Out of Home campaign was planned through Ocean and The Venue booked via Landsec.

A five minute domination on the Piccadilly Lights opened at 20:26 with a countdown to 20:28, full motion video put fans and players front and centre. It went on to reveal the look and feel of the Euro 2028 campaign, confirming the schedule and showcasing the names of the host cities. The artwork used elements of Ocean’s 3D Deepscreen illusion.
