Ocean Outdoor shines a light on volunqueering campaign across 67 screens.
Piccadilly Lights once again joined Pride in London (5th July) as the colourful parade of 32,000 participants and 300 floats passed through Piccadilly Circus on its way to Whitehall Place.
Starting at 12pm in Hyde Park Corner, the parade formed the centrepiece of the celebration, winding around Piccadilly Lights in a display of solidarity and celebration.
The artwork appeared in six 10 minute bursts for two and a half hours from 12.30pm. The Piccadilly Lights space was donated by Landsec.
For this year’s campaign, Pride in London asked people to give their time, energy and presence to LGBTQ+ charities and organisations. By calling on community members and allies to Volunqueer, they shone a spotlight on the everyday heroes already undertaking acts of selflessness for their community through a striking series of images.
The Pride campaign was also carried across our screens in Canary Wharf and Westfield London.
Tim Noblett, Pride in London’s Director of Marketing said “Ocean Outdoor’s generous support, through their continued partnership, has been instrumental in helping us bring ‘Volunqueer’ to life. Their commitment to using their platform for good has ensured the campaign reaches as many people as possible and has the biggest potential impact.”
During Pride month, Sky Creative showcased their colourful campaign on Piccadilly Lights, featuring employees who are all part of the LGBTQ+ community.
Ocean’s ongoing support for Pride celebrations has already begun this year in Birmingham on the 24th of May. Next up: Pride Manchester (15th – 25th August).
