Joining the 2024 Pride celebrations, this summer, our screens were illuminated across Manchester, London and Birmingham, showcasing messages of inclusivity and unity.
Pride in Manchester
Proudly part of Manchester’s roots since 2011, it was extra special to see the screen lit up right outside our local offices. Our Manchester One screen was decorated with a colourful creative promoting the upcoming parade and pre-festival party at Gay Village, that featured performances from Sugababes, Jessie J and Loreen.
Gaydio, the popular LGBTQ+ radio station broadcast on 88.4 FM in Greater Manchester, also joined in the celebrations with their “Sounds Like Pride” message displayed on-screen.
Lizzie, Head of Marketing and Growth at Manchester Pride said “As a charity, Manchester Pride looks to find partners who want to support the modern Pride movement. Ocean Outdoor were keen to show their support and allowed us to elevate the reach of the marketing campaign for the Manchester Pride Festival. The campaign that Ocean ran across several of their Greater Manchester sites, helped more people see the incredible line-up of this year’s festival to drive ticket sales for the Gay Village Party, which is essential for fundraising for the Manchester Pride Community fund.”
Birmingham Pride and NHS Blood and Transplant
This year, we continued our partnership with NHS Blood and Transplant to support and encourage more people to give blood. The collaboration focused on raising awareness about recent inclusive changes to blood donation guidelines, which now allow more individuals from the LGBTQ+ community to become life-saving donors.
Pride in London, Piccadilly Lights
In the heart of capital, Piccadilly Lights showcased an inspiring black and white creative that brought thousands of individuals and members of the LGBTQ+ community to Piccadilly Circus.
Turning the display and surrounding area into a beacon of celebration, it was a highlight of the parade route. The campaign hashtag #weareeverywhere was amplified across social media, echoing the message that London is built on inclusivity and diversity.
The Pride in London campaign also made a statement across other Ocean screens, including Westfield London, Westfield Stratford, Canary Wharf and Battersea Power Station.
As we look forward to a more inclusive society, we are eager to expand our presence in more cities, continuing our dedication and support for the LGBTQ+ community. By enhancing visibility, we aim to celebrate Pride’s mission of bringing communities together across the UK.
