Microsoft, Audi, Sky and Disney are the launch partners for Ocean’s first digital tower in Edinburgh and its first location within the vicinity of an international airport.
The launch of Edinburgh One extends Ocean’s premium digital out of home presence to nine UK cities and taps into the 11 million passengers passing through Edinburgh airport annually.
A unique build, the architects of Edinburgh One are 3D REID, who also designed the distinctive Edinburgh Airport Tower.
The screens on the 10.5 metre tall double sided tower each measure 3.84 metres by 5.76 metres high, while the base of the structure features an integrated LED lighting system to amplify campaigns.
Edinburgh One is developed in partnership with the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland, owners of the site which forms part of the RHS Showground which hosts the annual Royal Highland Show.
Edinburgh One is located on Eastfield Street, the main arterial route between the airport and Edinburgh city centre, delivering 400,000 impacts per fortnight.
The tower is located in a section given over to car parking and ring fenced by the RHASS for future development of a hotel. Funding raised through the screen will assist in site redevelopment plans.
Ocean Outdoor marketing director Richard Malton said: “Edinburgh has been a target for Ocean expansion for a number of years and is central to the development of our premium network across the UK.
“Edinburgh One delivers everything advertisers expect from Ocean; an iconic location, innovative design, the very best technology and above all a premium audience. Collectively, these elements deliver a deeper emotional impact for brands looking to target business and leisure travellers.”
