A seasoned industry veteran, Tom is a former CEO of several major international out of home media companies including CBS Outdoor’s International division, Viacom, Metro Advertising and Maiden Outdoor.
He is also President of FEPE International, the global trade association for OOH operators and Chairman of several other TMT businesses including MarketingForce.
Tim specializes in Media Brand building and turnarounds, with experience of leading businesses through private equity consolidation and exit, he led the Ocean Group through an MBO backed by LDC and LDC’s equity sale in 2014 to Searchlight Capital and the subsequent bolt on acquisitions of Signature and MediaCo Outdoor.
Tim has held senior Director level leadership roles across commercial TV, Radio and Outdoor spanning some of the most high profile Media businesses in the UK including ITV, talkSPORT, Emap Advertising (now Bauer) and CBS & Viacom Outdoor.
Stephen is responsible for the financial and commercial management of the group.
He takes the lead on structuring landlord deals, legal negotiations as well as ownership of procurement, HR and IT.
He helped lead the Ocean Group through an MBO backed by LDC, the acquisition of Signature Outdoor, MediaCo and LDC's equity sale in 2014 to Searchlight Capital.
He is a chartered accountant and winner of a BDO 'HOT20 FD’ and a regular speaker at the ICAEW’s ‘The Entrepreneurial FD’ conference.
Steve has over 30 years’ of entrepreneurial experience in building and selling successful, OOH businesses.
He has built and sold two independent regional OOH businesses, Vision Posters (sold to Scottish Radio Holdings PLC (SRH) in 1999) and Signature which he sold to Ocean in 2014. In 2011 Signature Outdoor won the Birmingham City Council OOH contract, the largest local authority in Europe.
During this period Steve was MD and headed up all development.
Richard has over 25 years experience of marketing experience, specialising in the media and advertising industry.
Richard is responsible for the Ocean brand position and brand story, a market leading brand with worldwide fame in the media industry.
Richard previously worked for a number of high profile advertising and media companies including Ogilvy and Mather, Scottish Television, ITV and JCDecaux.
With over 35 years of experience in the media industry, having built and developed a number of highly successful outdoor businesses focussed in Birmingham and the West Midlands.
Gerry was a founder of Signature Outdoor and was instrumental in winning the Birmingham City Council outdoor advertising contract, Europe’s largest local authority.
In 2014 Signature was sold to Ocean and Gerry became chairman of Signature and a member of the main Ocean Board. Gerry played a key role in the bolt on acquisition of Medico and the subsequent alignment of the Mediaco assets into Signature Outdoor and integration into the Ocean Group.
Marc has over 30 years ‘OOH’ experience, having joined Trainer Advertising, a Glasgow-based Poster Advertising Company in 1985, becoming a Director in 1988.
The company expanded over the next decade to become the leading player in the Scottish Outdoor Advertising market.
In 1999 the ‘Trainer’ was acquired by Scottish Radio Holdings and Marc was appointed M.D. in Scotland of the newly formed Score Outdoor.
In 2002 Marc completed a Management Buyout of Score and together with Chris Trainer, formed Forrest Media, as part of the Forrest Group of companies.
Primarily focussing on Out of Home Advertising, the extended Forrest group has interests in Retail Property development, Hydro Power Generation and Hotels.
Credited with having built the UK’s first commercially available Digital Screen in the heart of Glasgow, Forrest Media was recognised as an innovator and a lead player in the UK DOOH sector, growing a network of Giant Roadside Digital Screens across Scotland and the North of England.
In June 2018 the media business was acquired by Ocean, with Marc becoming Managing Director of the newly formed Ocean Scotland.
