Oceans new online platform and how it can help you to buy and plan D/OOH.
In mid-July 2024, Ocean Group launched its new versatile website.
The aim is to lay a foundation for a more versatile and useful online experience. We are now offering a coherent user experience regardless of which country specific website you visit. I see them more as a unified digital platform where each user can do different things while on it.
A lot of work has gone into building new tools for visitors, and I’d like to hone in on three of them.
These three are: My Collection, The Location Tool & The Campaign Gallery.
My Collection
This is Ocean’s equivalence to a ”shopping cart” and it is a useful tool for media planners & buyers. It gives you the option to select specific networks or locations you see fit for the brand/ campaign in question and add them into a unique collection. As you browse among Ocean’s locations, you simply tag the locations you are interested in, one by one and add them all into what we call ”My Collection”. This collection is available whenever you want and is easy to share with anyone using a unique link.
Furthermore, there is a built in ”request a quote” function in the tool, so that with the click of a button, you can ask our sales team for a quote, based on exactly the collection you have created. This tool works across the entire group, so you can pick and mix from all of Ocean’s locations across Europe. The Location Tool
Is in essence a map-based tool, where you can search for specific locations using a filtering system including country, city, type of network and so on. This way you can visualize and see the location you want on a map, giving you a better understanding of its surroundings and perhaps what famous Points of Interest that are close by. This in essence also gives you a hint of what type of audience that is present in the area, giving you a better understanding of which locations that fits your campaign and brand.
Using the location tool, you can get a very good in-depth knowledge about a specific location and screen, making your planning easier.
It also gives you all the technical specs and data for each location.
The Campaign Gallery
The Campaign Gallery is both a tool for sharing images of our client’s campaigns as well as it acts as an image bank.
Ocean takes pride in documenting our campaigns, big and small.
These images are then uploaded into the Campaign Gallery, where clients have unique access to their own images, even older campaigns.
Each client receives a link to their campaign and can easily access their images online for downloading and sharing. The tool can also be used as an image database, since all images are tagged, meaning that all earlier campaigns done for your specific brand is available for you to see.
Apart from these three there are a couple of quite useful tools, perhaps not so much if you are a media planner-/ agency, but rather for the smaller direct clients and also the advertising and creative agencies.
In order to make it easy for our buyers to get a sense of what their campaign or creative material would look like on our locations, we have a few tools specifically for that.
Campaign Preview Tool
First up is the Campaign Preview Tool or CPT for short. It’s an easy-to-use mockup tool. You simply drag and drop the video or image you want to display into it and it generates both video and still images, that are easy to download. This tool is available for all Nordic markets and we have plans to keep adding new locations into it during this year.
Mockup templates
Furthermore, we also have a wide range of mockup templates for all our types of locations, analog, digital, large and small. The templates are photoshop files that are easy to access and to work in.
