The advertising mast is located along the A9 near Amsterdam, the largest city in the Netherlands with over 830,000 inhabitants, at the Holendrecht A2/A9 junction. Amsterdam Zuid-Oost is home to many headquarters of ING and McDonald’s, among others, as well as the Ikea and the AMC Academic Medical Centre. The advertising mast has two conventional billboards; one facing the A2 (Amsterdam, Schiphol and Diemen), and one facing Utrecht. The A9 runs from the A1 at Diemen junction via the southwest flank of Amsterdam, Haarlem and IJmuiden to Alkmaar. The A9 is 96 km long and is in the traffic jam top 10.
