On behalf of the municipality of Emmen, Ocean Outdoor has operated the screen on the Raadhuisplein square since 2016. Recently, the successful cooperation agreement was extended with a nice upgrade. The old screen was completely replaced by an interactive screen, The Royal @ Emmen.
This new screen, with all its interactive features, has been installed on the facade of the Atlas Theatre and next to the entrance to Wildlands. With an impressive area of 90 square metres, it is the largest digital screen in Ocean’s City network.
The screen first received national attention in 2016 when it was officially inaugurated by His Majesty the King during his visit to Emmen as part of King’s Day. Now, during the King’s most recent visit to Emmen for Koningsdag 2024, the screen once again played a prominent role in the festivities, confirming its status as a central feature of the cityscape.
This state-of-the-art screen will serve as a dynamic communication platform for events, cultural announcements and municipal information, making Emmen’s Raadhuisplein even more alive with the power of modern technology.
