Special Olympics and Ocean Outdoor want to make sports accessible and visible for everyone. With the partnership signed at the end of last year, Ocean Outdoor is committed to increasing visibility for athletes with intellectual disabilities. In the run-up to the Special Olympics 2024 from 14 to 16 June, Ocean Outdoor will provide large-scale media support.
The Special Olympics National Games is the largest multi-sport event for people with intellectual disabilities in the Netherlands and is organised under the supervision of Special Olympics Netherlands. Special Olympics Netherlands is part of a global movement in more than 190 countries committed to improving the lives of people with intellectual disabilities through the organisation of sporting events.
In the coming years, Ocean Outdoor will not only be a proud partner of the Special Olympics, but also of NOC*NSF (including the Olympic Games and Paralympics) and the European Para Championships. Through these partnerships, Ocean hopes to contribute to increasing the visibility of all athletes, and raising awareness that sport should be accessible to all.

Supporting the athletes in the Special Olympics can be done by going to Breda or Tilburg on 14,15 or 16 June 2024 to watch the 20 different sports in which over 3,000 athletes will participate!
