Samsung Fold7 AR Treasure Hunt

Samsung and Ocean Outdoor launched the interactive Samsung Fold7 AR Treasure Hunt at Westfield Mall of the Netherlands. Visitors were invited to take part in the AR treasure hunt via digital totems and large-format LED screens in and around the shopping centre. After scanning a unique QR code, the AR experience opened, challenging participants to collect two Fold7 features in augmented reality using their smartphones.

This way, participants discovered the unique capabilities of the Samsung Fold7. Once both features were collected, they were directed to Central Plaza, where a life-sized Fold7 appeared in AR — guiding them towards the Samsung Experience Store. The journey ended there, where visitors had a chance to win the new Galaxy Fold7. Participants also received free Galaxy Buds3 and 20% off a selection of products.

The campaign required close collaboration between creative, technical, and location teams — from deploying the DOOH screens and AR technology to integrating the prize draw with the Samsung Store.

The result: a striking campaign that boosted both brand experience and in-store traffic. In addition to the treasure hunt, several teaser videos were created for social media. By featuring the Galaxy Fold7 in 3D, we encouraged people to visit Westfield and take part in the experience.
