Catherine Morgan, who heads up Ocean Labs, has been named as a member of Marketing Week’s prestigious Vision 100.
Cat joins a growing collective of media executives, now numbering 300, worthy of the moniker “visionary”. The 2016 Vision 100 inductees are selected for their ability to meet and overcome challenges and their innovative leadership.
All of marketing is represented in the Vision 100. In addition to trailblazing marketers with ‘traditional’ titles, people driving societal change are included, as are innovators like Cat, who are responsible for nurturing the next generation of digital disruptors in innovation labs.
Cat is a supporter of big ideas and few come bigger than the out of home sites she curates for Ocean.
“A real step-change happened when I joined; I was given the freedom to experiment with iconic digital platforms and champion new tech start-up partners,” she tells Marketing Week.
A degree in industrial design gave Cat an eye for transforming large screens into a real digital experience. She is also responsible for leading Ocean Labs, a team dedicated to creating innovative and award-winning campaigns including Look At Me for Women’s Aid, which saw an abused woman’s bruises healing the more passers-by looked at her.
