Ocean has been awarded the contract by Alliance Partners for Manchester’s first double sided full motion screen.
The large format screen, named Axis @ The Haçienda, is located on the site of Alliance Partners’ £35 million Axis tower development, adjacent to Manchester’s iconic former nightclub, Haçienda and on a key junction to the City Centre. The standalone screen measures an imposing 8m x 3.5m.
Manchester’s spectacular premium site is a significant development for Ocean Outdoor and underlines its long term strategy to expand digital out of home (DOOH) advertising to major conurbations outside of London.
One in every eight pounds of outdoor advertising spend is now invested in dynamic, interactive and real time digital out of home (DOOH) campaigns, which are consistently pushing at the boundaries of creativity and audience engagement.
Ocean Outdoor’s expanding full motion digital portfolio also includes Liverpool city centre’s Media Wall, Birmingham’s New Street @ Bull Ring and London Westfield’s Eat Street. Axis @ The Haçienda gives the media owner an unrivalled UK digital presence.
Tim Bleakley, Chief Executive, Ocean Outdoor, said. “Developing a strong digital footprint outside of London is central to Ocean’s long term strategy. Six months ago we developed what is regarded as the best digital site in Birmingham, New St @ Bull Ring. Manchester is now our focus.”
“Axis @ The Hacienda brings to Manchester the very best in digital out of home. We are delighted to work with Alliance Partners and look forward to delivering even more iconic digital opportunities in this vibrant and creative city.”
